             The Problem.
Your running late to school, and you know you just have enough time to find a parking space and make it to class on time. In addition to this dilemma you also didn't have time to eat before coming to school, but you figure you'll just grab something out of a vending machine on the way. Yet when you reach the vending machines by your class, all that is there is a beverage machine. With a couple minutes to spare you know that there is a food-vending machine just a building away, so you high tail it over to it. However when you get there the food selection is limited to just candy and chips. Figuring that junk food is better than no food, you decide it will have to do for the time being. You quickly scan the items, and decide you'll get the pretzels and that is when you spot the price. Ninety cents for a small bag of pretzels!! Unbelievable you think to yourself, but your starving and class is about to start. Reaching into your pocket, you find that you only have a five-dollar bill on you. Your brain has kicked into high gear, calculating the amount change that will soon be filling your pocket; people will think you have just come from the arcade, having a pocket full of quarters. With your head aching, and your belly rumbling you stick the five-dollar bill in the slot. Your shaky fingers press the buttons to get your overpriced selection. The pretzels start to move forward, and right before they drop into the magic slot below they stop. .
One of the five issues above has probably happened to most of us at some time or another while attending school at Phoenix College. The group one team will approach the task of improving the vending machine issues on campus, in addition to generation additional revenue for Phoenix College. .
Currently there are about 20 vending machines on the campus of Phoenix College; of those 20 machines only about 5 of them have the option to purchase food out of them.
