But according to Freud what's to say that my id didn't unconsciously think what pleasure these risks and bad choices would bring me? All in all Freud's theory can be used to sum up why I am impulsive, and sometimes make bad choices.
             Now I will analyze my personality using the personality theory of Abraham Maslow. I feel that on Maslow's hierachy of needs I feel that I am the esteem needs level. I was born into a good family in a developed nation so my physiological needs were instantly met. My safety needs were also met very quickly mainly because of my parents overprotectiveness. My parents always knew where I was and to this stay still do. This met my safety needs but in a way I feel it cut down on the valuable learning experience that comes from making mistakes and learning from them. However I feel that my parents did this out of love for me and therefore my love and belonginess needs from my family were met instantly. When I was younger I had difficulties getting along with and belonging in a group with my peers. However as I have grown up I now understand that getting along with my peers is a important skill if I am to succeed in my life. Now my love and belonginess needs are completely fulfilled. My esteem needs are met as I am fairly happy with the young man I have become. I feel that I have a unique personality that is my own and that the skills that I do possess belong to me and nobody else. Sometimes I don't feel a large need for my peers to acknowledge my intelligence or my skills because I know what I can do and my parents know what I can do. That is all the recognizition I feel I need because I feel to become a better person I can't be obsessed with how others view me. However too often I am too concerned with how others view me. I have definetly not achieved the needs to know and understand level. This is because I am only 15 and I feel that I still have a lifetime of learning to undergo.
