Political Violence

If they had some status and wealth, you would think that they would be happy. David Duke, on the other hand, is an exception. He is one of the few members who does have some status and wealth, but unfortunately suffers from brain apathy.
After the abolition of slavery and the civil rights movement, whites in the USA could no longer use the race issue as a class distinction. Before these reforms, whites still enjoyed higher social standing than minorities. Even if whites were poor, they were still white. Today, if whites are poor, that is just exactly what they are: white and poor. I believe that some whites could not accept this, and that is why they joined the ranks of various hate groups. .
The racial tensions that exist in the USA today are a natural consequence of slavery. Many whites learned from their parents and relatives in the past that blacks were unrefined and inferior beings. While my parents tended to be more open-minded, I noticed many slurs and derogatory comments made by my friend's parents against blacks. Many whites also feel uncomfortable in the presence of blacks. I do not think this distinction is found in nature, and ultimately people had to be raised to think this way. .
However, I believe it was the act of oppression and the adherence to laws that forbade blacks to read and get an education that gave them a negative stereotype. Although one can argue that historically African culture is or was somewhat primitive, I believe that this argument has no merit. If you deny any group, be they white or black, the tools necessary to succeed in a literate world, they will not perform as well as those who were given such privileges. You can only be illiterate if you live in a society of literacy. If you do not, then you are just non-literate. .
The fact that blacks have been stereotyped as ignorant or barbaric in the past is horrible. Yes, slavery was wrong, and the racial tension that exists today stems from it.
