She has taught me two important lessons I apply every day at work, learn how to prioritize and deal with multiple situations. .
My parents" rebuilding my family's life shaped my relationship with my sister and brother dramatically. We have a unique bond of commitment and support. We are proud of each other's accomplishments and recognize that without that commitment we may not be where we are today. My sister, 30 years old, is a Doctor of Pharmacy and is the Director of Operations for a Home Infusion Health Company branch in San Francisco. My brother, a high school senior, is starting to inquire about universities for next year, planning a future in medicine. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Economics, respectively. I have since been working at General Electric Company initially as a member of the Technical Leadership Engineering Program (TLP) and then at the Corporate Audit/Consulting Staff. The latter job as a Corporate Auditor requires 100% travel across the globe providing financial, process, and compliance assistance and recommendation to GE businesses. Knowing my brother and sister support me make working eighteen hour days a little more manageable. We help each other grow and in turn I am able to support my peers and employees in work and on their development opportunities. .
Looking back over my life, the one experience that impacted my future the most was my family's move to the U.S. and beginning the re-building of our lives. This was one of the most difficult experiences I endured. My family had moved with very little money and belongings, anticipating only a short departure from our home. I knew nothing about the American culture and had little knowledge of the language. Attending school, meeting new kids, and attempting to make friends was not a smooth transition.
