Socrates And Confucious

            
             Socrates dilemma about escaping with his friend Crito was a very serious problem in my point of view. His first principal dealt with what is the real truth not common opinion would say what is right. Meaning that we really can't believe anything that other people say unless it has been proven correct with investigation. Since Confucius wanted to revert to ancient traditions, this would mean that he created a society that avoided criminal offenses. So through what I think, Confucius would not object to this principal but then again he has a society that consists of rare criminal offenses so we really can't be sure.
             His second principal dealt with living justly and not just being there is what counts. I think that this meant you would have to live honestly and to strive to live in the moment for what is right and not to live and avoiding what you had done wrong. Confucius would also not object to this only because he thought that the ancient traditions consisted of people doing what they were meant to do. His society consisted of people who knew what they had to do so this also meant that they would have been living honestly and doing things correctly.
             The third principal from Socrates was to never to deliberately do wrong. So I don't think that I would need to explain what this meant because the title itself is kind of self-explanatory. Never the less this also meant that he applied this concept to the people who had a sane mind and could also think clearly and knew that they did wrong. He did not apply this concept to those people who are mentally incapacitated and those everyday mistakes. He knew that people were not all perfect and everybody makes mistakes every now and then. Confucius probably would agree with this. Remember that he was trying to stabilize China. He wanted people in certain positions to know what they had to do and he didn't want any problems with them either. He probably also knew that people would always make mistakes that was not intentional.
