The American Military As A Foreign Aid

War jeopardizes morality issues with soldiers. The hardships of war produce a terrible strain on the human body. The basic needs of a mature body need to be met in order to obtain that equilibrium libido in which we all strive. Male soldiers on the other hand, have often taken their needs too seriously, and therefore, placed themselves into avoidable situations had they abided by military law. Several soldiers have been accused of horrific rape crimes dating back to the beginning of the American military. Weaker soldiers often have trouble adjusting to a wartime environment, thus causing the rape and murder of innocent civilian girls. Rape is a crime that cannot be overlooked due to the fact that soldiers consciously take away the innocence of young, unsuspecting girls. Avoiding wartime situations, when at all possible, would greatly lessen the percentage of troop immorality. .
We often think about how war directly affects our soldiers. Many times, indirect effects can be just as devastating. Given a situation in which a husband/father is sent to war, we often find an enormous amount of stress placed upon the wife. The wife must then raise the children without the help and guidance of her male counterpart. In the event that the husband is killed in action, the grievances and stress level would climb to an almost unbearable point. Too many American women have experienced this awful fact of war that could otherwise have been avoided. .
One of the most brutal ways to die that is commonly overlooked is dying from biological warfare. During the Vietnam War, American bombers dropped over 350,000 tons of Agent Orange onto the dense Vietnamese canopy in hopes of killing off high numbers of vegetation, which would enable ground troops a better visual of the enemy. What we did not know was that Agent Orange had harmful and long lasting side effects. If soldiers were to live after being exposed to the chemical agent, it did not assure them of a life happily-ever-after.
