If a professor has a zero tolerance rule the athlete is going to have to work around the class to fit it into his/her schedule. This means some missed practices, or at the worst a missed game. But many professors are supportive toward student-athletes. They might give an exam early, or allow a student extra time for a paper.              There are many schools that have set higher standards for athletes than non-athlete students.
