After reading, "The Tao of Leadership," I am convinced that I am a Taoist manager. There most prominent reason for this conclusion is that I take a minimalist approach to leadership. I firmly practice equal treatment within the very diverse group of security personnel. "The wise leader does not try to protect people from themselves." It is important to speak in a manner that the employee can clearly understand what you expect. Often time's managers think the larger, more confusing terms they use, the more impressive they are. The hardest yet most significant lesson that I have learned in management is to always vow to be a neutral observer.
