Persoanl Values

My personal values are the biggest part of my character, and I always use them before saying anything or making any decisions. My values come from many influences like; my personal journey, culture, and my friends. Typical American values might be the same as mine and might embrace the way I live, but I can't be certain due to the ever-changing American culture. My main three values are; tolerance, honor, and my sense of humor.
Tolerance is my first value I embrace. To me this value should be embraced by everyone. In my everyday decisions I always try to keep minorities or gays in mind, I never want to offend anybody's civil liberties. I believe that all people no matter there race, age, sex, or sexual orientations are created equal. This value of mine came from my own personal journey when my friend was attacked for his sexual preference. I then decided that discriminating against any person is just plain stupid. In my life I have stood toe to toe with clan members, and I have made a short story about how two of my friends were beaten. I also believe that tolerance is the way to finally achieve global peace and harmony.
My next value is honor. Honor is a value I have learned from culture, and is very important to my character. No matter what I do I'll always try to act honorably in my life. To act honorably is to act considering of what is right and justified. The right thing to do and the wrong thing to do has been implanted into ever persons mind since the day they were born, and sometimes they listen and sometimes they don't. To the people that do listen is a life of honesty and happiness. This value in action would be at a basketball game, about two years ago Piner played Montgomery and every time a player from Montgomery would shoot, he would fall down acting like he got fouled. Now this is not very honorable, but no matter what the Montgomery player did, the Piner player that was guarding him never got angry or upset.
