Christopher Bernard Wilder

Christopher Bernard Wilder was swiftly on his way to being one of the most internationally known serial murderer and rapist. He was born on March 13, 1945. As an infant he went through some serious trauma for an infant. On one incident he was found face sown in a swimming pool and the other incident he went into a coma on a family outing. .
I do not think any of this childhood incidents triggered his violent attacks, murders and rapes of young attractive women. Christopher Wilder did not have any problem meeting and seducing young women. It was told that Christopher was a wealthy, good-looking bachelor, it also helped that he was a racecar driver. Wilder was known for using the famous line, "I"m a photographer and I would like to take pictures of you.
I believe that Wilder became a serial killer because he could not get enough of women and could not stay together with one woman for any length of time. This showed his short marriage, which lasted a week, what also came out in his shortened marriage was that he likes to be in control and can be abusive. This is way his marriage was so short. It was reported that his former wife broke of the marriage because Christopher also liked to flaunt his power like when he sent a letter to the family of a rape and murder victim and bragged about the murder of their daughter. What I believe also happened was that Christopher had a mentality that he could commit a crime and get off on a light sentence if he pled guilty like his past. At the age of 17 Christopher was accused and charged along with friends of gang-raping a girl on the beach. He pled guilty to carnal knowledge and received one-year probation with provision for mandatory therapy and electroshock treatments, but it seemed to have little if any effect on his behavior. This is possibly where he acquired the idea of using shock therapy on his victims.
Christopher Wilder had many problems but one main problem was the issue of control and this lead to his death on April 13, 1984 when he was spotted by a state trooper and in a struggle with the officer Christopher was shot and killed.
