The Real Monster In Frankenstein - Argumentative Essay

The story of Frankenstein is one in which the emotions of love and hate are expressed and felt in many different ways throughout the various characters. Although the character of Victor Frankenstein reveals love for his cousin Elizabeth, his friends and his family at the beginning of the novel, his feelings of hate is what stands out in him the most. His strong hatred towards his creations is what makes Victor Frankenstein the real monster in the story. Victor shows his monstrous attitude through his changes in his priorities, his cowardice actions, and his poor judgment.

Frankenstein’s priorities change very quickly throughout the first twelve chapters of the book. He goes from loving and caring for his family and friends, to being a self-involved scientist.
