Compare and contrast the main conflict in the literary work

In the book, The Royal Hunt of the Sun by Peter Shaffer, there are many conflicts that deal with society which mainly concern a moral issue. As the conflict in the story develops and becomes complicated, the play and the character's actions take a defined direction.
This play is a representation of how the Incan empire in Peru, became a property of Spain in the 16th century, thanks to an expedition lead by Francisco Pizarro, a Spanish conqueror, and his army. It is mainly based on Francisco Pizarro's conflicts, told by his page, Martin Ruiz, who's objective was to give the world a more personal view of how F.Pizarro obtained his fame.
As mentioned before, the many conflicts that arise in the story are related to Pizarro and his personal opinion about certain institutions and beliefs. There are political and social conflicts which involve the differences between both the Spanish and the Incan culture, the different religious beliefs and also the differences between the Incan god, Atahuallpa and F.Pizarro. The Spanish and Incan culture differ in many things, but mainly the way of thinking and organizing their society. The Spanish organization was in a strategic pyramidal order of power and wealth which began with the king, Carlos the fifth, and descended to the common peasant. On the other hand, the Incas followed a rule of equality amongst themselves and the only ruler of the empire was Atahuallpa, who was thought of as a representative of god, not just an authority. The Incas believed in a different god than the Spanish did, they believed in a god named Inti, the god of the sun. This brought up a great issue since it was for this reason that Pizarro was able to get the consent of the church for the expedition, seeing as the act of absolution was what the catholic church wanted to achieve. .
             "Jesus Christ Inca!-.
This was what the Spanish forced the Incas to shout to encourage the process of conversion to the catholic religion.
