Effective Teenager in God

Today there are many influences that results in teenagers becoming defective. Content can not be found being defective. Being Christian youth I am well aware of the influence that world has to offer and have made a stand to be an effective teenager because I know that is how to find content in life and worth in my toil. Being an effective teenager requires submission to God and to fear God, because “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” (Psalm 111:10) To fear the Lord intertwines to the greatest commandment given by God:

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your entire mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

The greatest commandment is the key to being an effective teenager. Through the greatest commandment and through the study of Ecclesiastes; I want to introduce fours habits to help us learn to obey the greatest commandment. And it help give a clearer understanding on what it means to Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, your entire mind and with all your strength, and to love

Listen well then respond is an important habit we need to practice in order to be an effective teenager, for it says:

“Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm and the wise in heart will know the proper time and procedure. For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man’s misery weighs heavily upon him.”(Ecclesiastes 8:5-6) Put first things first is another habit in becoming an effective teenager. It is hard for us today to know what comes first and what comes last. We are too easily preoccupied and majority of our time we are preoccupied with the wrong things, which is waste of our time and being defective in our life. God tells us to put Him first. Obeying and listening to God shows Him that you fear Him, and “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”(Psalm 111:10) It sounds very simple and hard to believe, but it is true, putting God first will help put all things in its proper time and procedure. He says in His word that He’ll provide you wisdom if you ask; so have faith in Him. This is a huge challenge to lots of the teenagers that have been defected, because the majorities have a distorted view of priorities in life. Distorted priorities like the clothes we wear, how we look, money, creating many idols. With that distortion come confusion, stress, anxiety, and all of which God wants to relieve all teenagers from. Therefore obey His commandments and He will relief you of your stress from school work, or family issues, etc, and provide you with wisdom to help sort out your schedule.
