This type of system saves the agency a lot of time because they would know whom to call to get the right assistance. For example a police officer stops a person whom the officer think is under the influence. The officer pulls up the record, and finds that the person is in drug rehab. He would then call the person in charge of the community correction center and inform them. This saves time and money, because before the officer would bring the offender to the station and book them. Then it takes time to find out where the offender belongs. This is a good idea; I am surprised it wasn’t adopted a long time ago.
