The Brightest Pearl


            
             These two words, when put together, have a power withheld in them to literally make one's body go numb. We all have had some sort of a crush, or a want for another person. Some people find true love in their first encounter. Others it takes years to assume the affection of love. Then, sometimes, love has been scurrying around each corner, and searching for you the whole time.
             It's winding down to the end of your junior year of High School. You've been a person who has always been a dating person. But, at the same time, you've also wanted to date in order to find the brightest pearl to throw and break and break the glass around your heart. You date all sorts of girls. Every type of personality you can grasp. After finding what seems like a thousand pearls, all much too soft to break the glass, you feel like giving up on the search. .
             Basically, at this point you hopes are crushed. You"re lonely, hopeless, and very, very confused. Then, you realize that pearl you"re looking for, is in the exact same hallways as you every day at school. Duh! Now you feel excited. But then, reality kicks back in. This pearl is not only the brightest shining and most perfect pearl you've seen, but its also has a boyfriend (not to mention they been together now for almost a year). .
             Now, you are officially shattered. However, you just happen to be friends with a friend of the pearl. One day your in a class with this friend, she mentions the pearls name, and of course, your reaction is to let your jaw smack the tabletop. So then of course, the question is asked. Do you like her or something? "Ohhhh boy", you think to yourself.
             The moment of truth has now arrived for you to at least get the feeling of your chest. So, you do it. "Yes, I do". "As a matter of fact, I've liked her since I was in sixth grade". There, you did it. Take a breath, swallow, and remain focused. Now all you have to do is wait for the friend to speak her reaction.
