Patriotism Law

After 9/11, the United States realized that it was not as safe as originally thought. The government has tried everything to protect us, but have gone too far with the Patriotism Law. This new law will only point us in a direction of a communist country. To have the government watching what every move we make is against everything our founding fathers worked for. The slightest possibility of discrimination and loss of privacy should have told the lawmakers in this country that this was wrong. .
Discrimination is the worst thing to come out of this law. Citizens cannot board a plane now and not wonder if the person sitting next to them is going to hijack the plane. What happened to the golden rule of treating someone as you want to be treated? Everyone who is of Middle Eastern origin does not have ties to Osama. Also, this causes these people unfair searches when they could be perfectly innocent. They have even gone as far as profiling every foreigner that comes into the United States. .
This country was built on our constitution. One of our rights is no illegal search and seizures. This new law takes that right away just on stupid suspicions. We used to be able to do what we want, within a limit. That is what made this a great country. Now, we have to continually watch our backs. If this is how things are going to be done, we need to get rid of the great poem on the Statue of Liberty and say, "Only bring us your honest and fair who aren't going to harm us in any way.".
Another basis for this law to be recalled is lack of privacy. The government can now know everything from your bank account balance to what books you check out at the library. This law allows them to check what is in your bag at the airport. America cannot stand for this. It completely violates what has been so dear to us all these years. .
The fact that so many people are lying down and letting the government do this to us is wrong.
