city or country?
Have you ever been to the country? It’s great isn’t it? You get to camp, go fishing, and even take a hike up Mount Everest. Keep dreaming! That’s only how you see it when you’re on your summer vacation but imagine if you had to live there for the whole year or even worse, for the rest of your life. It would be like living in hell especially if you already had a taste of the city. Living in the city is much better than living in the country because there is no farm work, you get access to more services, and most importantly the city is much more exciting than the country.First, working in the country and working in the city are not the same. In the country you mostly work outside on your farm. You need to take care of all those animals and crops, but in the city it is much different. There is no need to think about how your pigs or cows are doing or if bugs are eating your tomato’s; here you usually sit in front of a computer and pretend your doing work when your actually playing solitaire. This is the city life. You take everything as it comes and go with the flow. There is no need to put yourself into stress thinkin
Third, what can possibly be interesting and exciting in the country? I had this cousin who lived on a farm and every time I went to visit him in the summer; he would be digging a hole somewhere on the ten acre land. “Steve, why are you digging a hole, isn’t there anything else to do?” I asked him. “No. Besides I’m gonna find me lots of gold and become rich,” he replied. He’s 32 now and still living with his parents because he has no money. In the city, there is always something to do. There are the pretty girls, nice cars, tall buildings, and how about those pretty girls with nice cars who live in tall buildings. Here and only here, you can go to the library and read a great book and a year later you can go to the theaters and watch the movie of the book. It never gets boring in the city and when you think you’ve done everything you can possibly do, go to the nearest mall and try guessing which store will go out of business next. And if you do get bored, head down to the country for a few days and you’ll realize how much you miss the city.
