Afeni Shakur (mother of Tupac Shakur) was a very political woman, and she cared about her rights very much. She dropped out of high school and began to party with North Carolina gang members. Tupac Shakur was an incredibly talented actor, hip-hop artist, and poet; who would kill him? Or is he really dead? Family, friends, and fans may never really know the truth, so he may just remain a memory in their hearts and minds.

In the late eighties, Tupac got together with an underground rap artist named Humpty-Hump and as well as other rappers from Oakland to make Digital Underground. In 1990 they released there debut, and best album “Sex Packets”. Then later on 1992 he got out of Digital Underground, and made is sole debut “2Pacalypse Now”, this album really got Tupac noticed in the music industry. Also in that same year he starred in the movie “Juice”. Then in 1993 he recorded and released “Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z”, an album that got Tupac to cross over the pop charts. But along with these successes, Tupac began to get into trouble with the police once again, when he was accused of a violent attack on an off-duty police officer. Then in that same year he released another movie, “Poetic Justice” with Janet Jackson, as a single father.

In November of 1994, he was shot five times during a robbery in which thieves made off with $40,000 worth of jewelry. Tupac recovered incredibly from his injuries, and then he made his best albums yet, including “Me Against the World”, which sold 2 million copies, and the double-CD “All Eyes on Me” which sold nearly 3 million copies. While his fame and his fortune was growing Tupac was shot and killed after watching a Mike Tyson fight, with Death Row Records president Marion “Suge” Knight, by an unknown gunman. But even after his death Tupac continues to release albums such as “Until the End of Time” and “Better Dayz” which both sold over a million copies each, which raises the question if Tupac Shakur is still alive.

By the time Tupac was born on June 16, 1971, Afeni had defended herself in court and was found innocent on 156 accounts. She made new life in the Bronx of New York. She found a steady job as a paralegal, and she tried to raise her son to respect the value of an education. Tupac ended up growing up without a father, because his real father was sentenced
