John B. Watson In 1878 John B. Watson was born in Greenville South Carolina and studied at the University of Chicago. Watson claimed he could learn the same thing from animals that others learned from people. Watson tested his theory of behaviorism rigorously on animal an then applied to an eleven month old boy known as Little Albert.
