Job

Job realized in a matter of moments he had just lost all of his animals and his servants. Just then, did one last messenger come to tell him that a mighty wind had caused the walls of the oldest brother's house to cave in, unfortunately crushing all of his children who were inside partaking of a meal. Job was devastated. He got up, tore off his robe, shaved his head, and fell to the ground in worship, but not to charge God with wrongdoing.
Satan presents himself to the Lord again; realizing Job did not curse God, like Satan hoped, by ruining Job without reason.
"Skin for skin!" Satan states, smirking, "A man will give all he has for his own life. But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.".
The Lord replied, "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.".
Satan left God's presence and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. While Job sat among the ashes, he took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it. .
Even Job's wife had said to him, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!".
"You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" Job said. Still, Job did not sin in what he said. .
Job had some friends that had came to visit, when they heard of his trouble. When they saw him, they barely recognized him and began to weep aloud. They tore their robes and sprinkled dust on their heads, then sat on the ground with him for seven days and seven nights. All during this time no one spoke. No one really knew why this happened. Of all the people this could have happened to, why Job? No one deserved it less! Although Job never cursed God, he did curse the day he was born. .
In the span of a few days Job experienced more tragedy than most people experience in a lifetime. Job prayed and prayed during this time asking God to speak to him in person.
