"I read the script first and see what I think, particularly of my character. If it's a very powerful and challenging role, I simply can't resist.".
"What about money? Does that have a great influence on your decision?".
"No, not at all, of course, I have to keep the bills payed, but I"m not going to knock back a role because of the money if I love the script.".
"What sort of character appeals to you the most?".
"I have liked all of the characters I have played. I don't think there's a stereotype character in any of the roles I've had. If I like their personalities, that makes the decision for me. I don't think any two of my roles have been the same, all my characters are diverse which I think is great.".
"What would you say is the best thing about your career?".
"All the great people you meet, the travel and other opportunities you have which came with the job.".
"Now, what would you say are the worst things about your career?".
"Probably the same as the best things. Sure, you get opprotunities to travel and meet fantastic people, but sometimes you get homesick and just want to be around those you love.".
"How do you regard your childhood?".
"My childhood was mixed. There were a lot of happy times, but it was sad as well. With my father dying when I was ten, that was a very sad time for myself and my family.".
"How do you think the events of your childhood helped to shape your life today?".
"Well, I don't know. I guess the challenges life has thrown me have made me a stronger and better-equipped adult - in some ways. I was always involved in things as a child, I loved drama at school and I guess that has all helped me to get to where I am today.".
"Where can you see yourself in ten years?".
"Hopefully sitting right here basking in the sun. Andrew and I are hoping to have a baby soon, it"ll be nice to have our own little family.".
