Earth- The first being in the universe.
Heaven- Made from and married to Earth. Creates the titans and other first creatures of the world.
Titans- Children of Heaven and Earth. These were the first gods who gave birth to the olympians that overthrew them.
Cronus- Overthrows father heaven and attempts to eat all of his babies as they are born, 1 (zeus) survives and later defeats him.
Promethius- Helps humans by bringing them fire. Punished by being chained to a rock and having his liver eaten every day.
Atlas- Forced to carry the weight of the world on his back.
Olympians- The gods that reside upon Mount Olympous.
Zeus- Leader of the gods. Overthrows the titans and takes control. Weilds a lightning bolt. He is the eternal justice none may question.
Hera- Zeus" wife and sister. Known for her jealousy that is caused by Zeus" unfaithfulness.
Apollo- Son of Zeus. God of light and truth.
Artemis- Apollo's twin. Goddess of the hunt. Demands a sacrifice during trojan war.
Hades- Brother of Zeus. Ruler of underworld.
Athena- Grew off of Zeus. Goddess of war and cleverness.
Ares- God of war. Seen as cold and ruthless.
Hermes- Messenger of the gods and master thief.
Aphrodite- Goddess of love. Married to the ugly god Hephaestus.
The Fates- 3 powerful beings that have power over both the gods and mortals with their power.
Clotho- Spins the thread of life.
Lachesis- Assigns people their thread.
Atropos- Snips thread of life upon death.
Heroes- Mortals with a major part in greek histoy. .
Hercules- Gets drunk and murders all of his family; Is required to perform 12 great tasks in repentence for his stupidity.
Orestes- Kills his mother for killing his father. Has to repent as the furies curse him for his crime.
Odysseus- King of Ithica. Great fighter in trojan war. After war he curses Poseidan and is forced on a 10 year journey home.
Theseus- Son of the king of athens. Doubts his son which causes his death.
