Overview - Genesis Video

On the contrary, the Bible says, "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not right for man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him'"" (Genesis 2:18). Adam never expresses want for another human being in the garden, God gave him Eve without him even having knowledge of creation. And in Eve being created in the video, it never explains how Eve was made from the rib of Adam. Eve just sort of magically appears in the Garden of Eden and meets Adam. This part confused me because I feel like this video has a strong inferiority complex with Eve or "the Woman " so it would only support their argument more by mentioning the fact that Eve was literally taken and created as an extension of Adam rather than from soil like Adam was made. The differences in the video and the real biblical story are important because of the label that is given to women in religion after Eve. If Eve is constantly being looked at as the unobedient and ignorant type, there's no wonder why it is such a struggle for women to be viewed as valued and intelligent people in Christianity. This video clearly shows the basic understanding of the story of Adam and Eve but lacks complete biblical credibility at the same time.
Throughout this video, Eve is characterized as a ditzy and carefree woman who is coerced into eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge. When Eve first appears in the garden, she is met by Adam who immediately gives her the name Eve. Eve is delighted at the name that Adam has chosen for her and moves along merrily with her life in the garden. Whenever Eve is met by the serpent, she is very hesitant and slow to interact with him. She talks about how God told her that if she even touched the fruit from the tree that she would surely die. After a few minutes of convincing, Eve is takes a bite of the fruit and hurriedly runs to Adam. While Eve is perceived as a shy and unintelligent, Trible thinks otherwise of her actions.
