Purpose and Philosophy of the European Union

What does an enlarged European Union represent to you?.

I am coeval with my country from the year it became independent. When I was taking my first steps, my homeland began its walk on the path toward democracy hopeful to be a part of a concept that incorporates social, cultural, economic and defense programs and standards, a modern type of euro-managing of a democratic and social productivity that brings benefits to the community and the individual. The fact that at the moment I am experiencing the E.U. as a philosophical and desired concept is what I believe will change soon; and that a generation of numerous young people will soon be contemporary of an expanded European unification, in a widespread and common home that exists here and now, in the present time and on the European territory.
I want to believe that the E.U. is not just a paradigm, a futuristic worldview. In its expansion I see not only a fulfillment of a much desired reality, but also benefits to the ones that are patiently waiting in line, as well as the others who already are a part of it. If the area of the European Union does not expand, if it remains closed for the other regional societies, they will lag behind, and this in turn will affect the wider region, which would be a tragedy in the modern era. I believe in the European Union's philosophy, whose high level of democracy motivates and supports the others in reaching the desired heights.
Today, more than ever, the common European future is part of the new global society; a common and necessary template that provides a solidary embodiment of all aspects of life that need to be improved and more secure, to what we are taught from numerous allegories, such as the story about the sticks: it is easy to break one stick, but when it comes to thirty sticks tied together in a bundle, the outcome is completely different. According to me, an enlarged European Union is a benefit to the modern time, it is the new internationalism that corresponds with the global society and provides a new culture of euro-nationalism, a new way of thinking for a better common future.
