"Cha-ching" the sweet sound of money. Everybody needs money to either pay bills, buy food, or some things we enjoy such as going to the movies. The only problem is how does one get this sweet "cha-ching" everybody wants. Well, it is quite simple, get a job. Every worker has to make money to support themselves or their family. For some it is harder than others. Some parents have to work two or three jobs to earn enough money to support their children and make sure all the bills are paid. But why do they have to work multiple jobs? Do they not get paid enough, are they in a hole of debt. Many minimum wage workers have these problems. Many of these people work part time jobs and only make minimum wage. Then what are these people going to do? Well groups of these workers have made a request for fifteen dollars an hour. They call their protest "Fight 15". These protesters see the extra money as the solution, but minimum wage should not be fifteen dollars, because the effects to businesses and their employees would be much more hurtful to them than helpful. .
The effect of a raise in minimum wage to fifteen dollars on a business would be a harsh blow to them as a whole. The point of starting a business is to make many money. How does a person start a good business? Most of the time a business starts small. A good business starts out with some great idea to sell people and then start small shop to sell that idea. If people like the product then the business starts to make more money which means a bigger profit. But as that business grows bigger the demand will rise, which means a need for more hands. So along with buying more materials and paying bills on the building the business is in, there has to be more money dished out to compensate for the growing number employees that they would need hire. But now there is talk of fifteen dollars an hour. Less people will buy the product because to make a profit, prices will have to be raised.
