Harlem Renisance

 

            Creativity and ingeniousness of African Americans .
             during the Harlem Renaissance created a movement which sparked.
             outstanding literary vigor, and among many other things the .
             commercial appeal and success of Jazz and the Blues. .
             Hip Hop since its earliest arrival has done nothing but appeal .
             to the thousands and millions in tune with its revolutionary .
             sound. From the streets of Brooklyn to the suburbs of Santa .
             Fa, its presence, wether accepted or not, was and still .
             continues to influence mainstream America today. Modern day .
             Hip Hop does indeed fulfil the same ingenuity and spirit as .
             the 1920's musical Negro movement. .
             .
             In the early 1920's an enthusiastic post World War .
             America existed in a society that seemingly hesitated to break .
             normality or deal with change very easily. The isolation .
             period as it would later be referred, essentially kept America .
             away from anything " American-. Nevertheless, America would .
             soon experience a unexpected yet brilliant occurrence in the .
             Ghettos of Harlem, New York. African Americans migration to .
             the north brought a large number of blacks to the city. This .
             migration would be responsible for what ultimately caused the .
             Negro movement. Like Jazz, Raps sole creation was based off .
             the foundation of expression. Though it is an art form that .
             originated in the city, its grassroots stem back as far as .
             Africa. Hip hop first appeared in the Bronx in the 70's.
             The big band sounds of the 1930's and 40's, rhythm and blues, .
             and disk jockeys mixing records and playing with turntables, .
             helped to create what we now call Rap music. .
             " Hip Hop, like Jazz and the Blues, is the music of the .
             oppressed-,The blues is a ramification of the feeling of .
             disenfranchised blacks after the civil war. This music helped .
             troubled African Americans deal with their conflicts by airing .
             the situations out. Hip hop itself, arose from the very .
             same aspects as the Blues. With Jazz and the Blues, rhythm can .
