Study on Child Abuse

 

            
             This archival study is intended to present facts regarding the topic of the history of child abuse, which had been a controversial topic over the previous decades. Many Americans had heard about child abuse due to the media and in general conversations. However, the research included some of the methods that had been used for child rearing practices. The purpose of this research was to examine child abuse and neglect as it related to the role that society played in allowing such things to occur. The research indicated that child abuse and neglect are wide ranged and had increased in severity throughout the United States. For the most part society had laws enacted and appointed organizations to ensure these laws was enforced. The research indicated that the society as a whole had glorified violence and sexuality, which had been consistently on display. Both of these factors along with issues such as religious beliefs, deficiency, and education levels contributed drastically to the prevalence of child abuse and neglect. .

             Introduction.
             It seemed that the different types of abuse against children had climbed to a national and international outbreak. Child abuse and neglect was a topic of discussion for countless years. In many situations, the abuse of children came at the hands of parents or guardians who were supposed to have saved the child and defended the children and their interests. There were many reasons why child abuse existed, included was family issues, economical reasons, and or social issues that were widespread and easier said than done to combat. The intention of this report was to study child abuse and neglect, as it was related to the position that the social order played in allocation of such things to had taken place. This report started with child abuse and neglect definitions.
             Statement of Purpose.
             The purpose of this paper was to research child abuse, as it is interpreted today from all angles, to try to comprehend what we as the general public had been doing wrong, and also what we had done right to help the young victims of child abuse.
