Short Story - A Love Lost

There are those who fall in love so deep that their very being becomes that love - no more, no less - but I know our love had to be much more than just love. It wasn't just love of two lovers who become so infatuated, so enthralled in each others very existence that the world could end and nothing else would matter but them, just them. Our love was the meeting of two souls, two souls that became one and in the midst of losing sight of our love we parted ways, we drowned in our own love. Now all thats left of our love is two lost souls yearning for a love that is nothing but a mere memory in an old lovers past.
When I fell in love in with "him" I didn't even realize it. Here I was a freshman in college with one of the most gorgeous men I have ever seen. As fate may have it our two worlds crossed paths and there began my first journey with love. I was pretty intimidated by him from when I first saw him (which was a completely different time from when we met face to face). He was such a handsome man, he stood with such confidence and had style for days; I couldn't help but stare,I caught a glimpse of his smile and my heart jumped a little bit, I fell in love with his big eyebrows that framed his small eyes, and who knew that this man I was looking at was my soon to be boyfriend/headache/lover/friend/fiancé, and now ex.
We met during Super Bowl weekend, at his house, where I never thought I would be; thanks to a friend who cant travel alone she dragged me and a couple of my friends to his house for a super bowl party. While I was there I kind of kept to myself but interacted enough. As time passed we all started getting a little more comfortable exchanging names and stories and enjoying the game but still little interaction between me and him. When we finally left we all felt relieved to be out of there and finally home not because we didn't enjoy our time but because we thats not how we thought we were going to be spending our Sunday, at some random boys house.
