My Fascination with Buying Shoes

This purchase was psychologically driven, they make me feel happy and overjoyed that I am adding another classic piece to my collection of shoes – the icing on the cake is that they are very hard to find and I like a challenge. Once I touched and tried it on the shoe, I soon fell in love, followed by the frantic search - being an avid shoe shopper, makes the internal and external search simpler. While searching for the best deal should be the first thing any consumer does, it is not the case when it comes to this designer. This shoe is a slightly higher end and the number of retailers carrying this designer decreases. My information search options are as follows; directly through the Christian Louboutin's website, Neiman Marcus, Berdorf Goodman, Barneys and, most recently, added Nordstrom's. I search hours upon hours online, make direct phone calls to the retailers in search of the shoe because the hottest shoe in a size 36 is very hard to find. During my search, no retailer had this shoe in stock and was all backordered until May of 2015, which I now find more of a challenging and not going to be instantly gratified.
I hold off on ordering and start searching shoe blogs for any information on release dates on the next round of shoes. This time makes me start to question the shoe, do I need it, is it worth the wait and is there something comparable, I question. My search for an alternative option begins and goes back and forth between a few other designers such as Steve Madden, Jimmy Choo and Prada which have very similar styles. Steve Madden's "Proto" pump was the inexpensive option at a hundred dollars. The 100 mm heel height was not high enough and the front heel was not pointy enough for me but would be a good alternative for work or school purposes. On a positive note, purchasing these shoes would lessen the financial risk at a seventh of a cost when compared to the So Kate's.
