The Milk Conspiracy

Many studies have been done throughout the world on the case, which has been brought up concerning the nutritional values of milk and the harmful effects by which it can have on a person. While researching this topic, I have run across many disturbing studies which have shown that cow's milk causes many different types of cancers, allergies, bone loss, and can cause crippling effects on a person. I have done much research over the past month, and have found study after study which show that by drinking homogenized milk, it could lead to many different harmful effects such as SIDS, hardening of the arteries, and a younger age in which children mature. After reviewing many of these websites which say that drinking cow's milk also may lead to such things as breast cancer and prostate cancer. I find that quite frightening, considering that almost all Americans drink some form of milk, or eat dairy products by the pounds each day. In the 1970's, the population of the United States was 203 million, which translates to an average of 10.8 pounds of cheese per person. By 1990, America's population had grown to 248 million, and Americans were eating more cheese, 6 billion pounds worth. That's an average of twenty-four pounds per person! I eat a lot of dairy, and know that I easily contribute to that six billion pounds.
