Doing so could result in learning from past mistakes of plans that failed miserably in which we could then modify the original blueprints to make it better. It could also help in investigating any cities or other campuses that could help with the program by networking. .
We must also go forward the school's administration. If we explain to them that the school would be able to save money and make a profit from the sale of the recycled material, they would most likely agree to help out as well. In my opinion, making recycling a policy around campus will make sense both economically and environmentally. This type of action is known as cost-avoidance and revenue potential which is taking action to reduce future costs and then make a profit off the material by replacement. This would definitely play a big role in developing a great program. The students would become a valuable asset to the recycling effort. They could be employed to perform the duties needed to help with the recycling around campus. This would also be a way for the students to become involved through internships and even class projects. The program would utilize the students in many ways possible as resources. It could also end up becoming an opportunity to give them a hands-on experience to add to the college experience. .
We would also have to hire someone from the faculty or maybe even another student to take on the position as the coordinator. Every organization has its own structure which determines how things will be evenly distributed. In order for it to become successful, we have to hire the type of people who will be responsible for the proper maintenance of the program. We must also provide our volunteers with supplemental opportunities in roles that play little part in the program. We also want to construct a drop off center. This would be the area where people deposit the materials they have that can be recycled.
