In reality it's really hard for them to find work to support their families. My first question that I asked was; why do these migrant workers struggle to find a job in Mexico and need to come to California? Since most of these workers do not have access to higher education, it becomes harder for them to find jobs. They stopped caring for their education because Mexicans think that it is a waste of time and the only way to earn a living is to move to California. In Garret Brown article, he said: "Young Mexico- who makes up a large portion of the immigrant in the U.S.- have it particularly bad. The Bank of Mexico has reported that one million new jobs are needed every year for young people entering the job market for the first time- but only 500,000 to 600,00 jobs a year have been created over the last decadeOf the 110 million people in Mexico, some 54 million live in poverty with incomes less than $3 a day, while 13 million Mexicans live in 'extreme poverty' on less than $1 a day." (Qtd. In "Why Immigrant Workers Are Coming to the U.S., and How We Can and Need to Work Together"). It is very rough in Mexico for these young migrants to find a decent fare job. As a Mexican-American I am fortunate to have the privilege of getting a college education and am disheartened to hear about the lives of these migrant workers. .
Migrant workers have many different types of problems back in there home countries, but when they began to realize that once you're in the United States, you will not find a suitable job to support themselves but only working on the fields. So, what are some physical and mental problems that these migrant workers have to face while working in the fields, does hire them? In my opinion, migrant workers aren't being taken care of properly. In an article reported by a migrant worker was interviewed and described how U.S. citizens would abuse him by calling him names.
