We will not be taken advantage of anymore.".
These border walls have its disadvantages as well. Having to build a border all around the United States is a lot of ground to cover. It is not going to be an easy concept to do. Not only would it be difficult to build but it would also be very expensive. The walls will not just keep people out of our country but they will also keep them in. Now all those undocumented immigrants wanting to go to Mexico to visit their families during the holidays will not be going anymore with the uncertainty of being able to return back to the United States. Of course if you show up without a green card, you should not be able to come to our country, but if you are here legally, I am all about them coming here and helping building our country into a better place. Our country knows how to deal with border security, so we do not have to build a border wall.
The immigration restrictions today are easy going. There are many different Immigration policies such as, Family-Based Immigration, Employment-Based Immigration, Per-Country Ceilings, Refugees and Asylees, The Diversity Visa Program, and U.S. Citizenship. All of these different immigration policies enable immigrants to come to our country legally. The Family-Based Immigration policy allows U.S citizens and LPRs to bring certain family members to the Unites States. The Employment-Based Immigration has two different ways for immigrants with valuable skills to come to our country for either permanent or a temporary basis. The Per-Country Ceilings places a limit on how many immigrants can come to the United States from a country. "The Refugees and Asylees are admitted to the United States based on their inability to return to their home countries because of a "well- founded fear of persecution" due to their race, membership in a particular social group, political opinion, religion, or national origin.
