Comparison Paper To Re-Enlist or to Get Out

TO RE-ENLIST OR TO GET OUT.
Being in the Air Force is a great experience. When you first enlist in the Air Force there is the fear of the unknown; you are like a freshman, getting the feel for how things are done. Eventually, you learn the ropes and become kind of an expert on what you do in your job. Then there is a point in every airman's career where they must decide whether to continue their career in the Air Force or go out into the civilian sector. This decision is not an easy one for some; one has to compare the pros and cons of staying in or getting out. .
Staying in the Air Force can have many benefits, for instance, the opportunity to travel. There are bases world wide that one can be stationed at any given time. Another benefit is the free medical and dental care. With medical costs going up, this is a major money saver for military personnel. Esprit de Corps is another benefit the Air Force has. The people you work with are like family and squadrons provide for a strong cohesive team. Job satisfaction is a popular benefit that some civilian jobs don't have. You can guarantee that whatever job you do in the Air Force has a significant impact on missions; and it's that feeling that makes people proud to be in the service. Another contributing factor to staying in the Air Force is the job stability. You can be assured that no matter how the economy is doing you will always have a job and not be laid off, unless you break the law in the military. .
On the flip side of that coin are the pros to getting out of the military. One of the major factors of leaving is pay. It's no surprise that the government pays enlisted members far less than their civilian counterpart. For example, a Senior Airman who is a network technician makes approximately $20,000 a year where a civilian network technician with same experience would make $70K - 100K a year. Another benefit of getting out is the freedom.
