Mexico's economy was in a dismal situation, if not chaotic. Lack of available capital, mostly Spaniards", deaths of many workers and obsolete gold and silver mines, caused by wars of independence, led to massive unemployment, which worsen the economic turmoil . Fixing this major problem was one of the priorities for many leaders of the Mexican Revolution, such as Diaz, Zapata, Villa, Calles and Cardenas. Therefore, fixing and stabilizing the economy must be one of the key goals of the Mexican Revolution. Another key goal of the Mexican Revolution relates to the political instability of Mexico. The political situation in Mexico after its independence from Spain until 1900's was a fine model of instable and chaotic politics. Not many governments stayed in power for a long time, most of them replaced at gunpoint or got overthrown . Leaders of the Mexican Revolution tried to deal with this problem in different ways. It is very likely that these leaders were trying to introduce more stable form of a government to Mexico. The leaders were trying to create a stable government so that the government could control other problems in Mexico. Thus the creation of political stability seems to be one of the key goals of the Mexican Revolution. .
