From that day on every time the bleach blonde haired little boy would come back he'd always help lifeguard and then buy you a snack. Being around kids like this all day makes the job much easier than what it already is. Another duty of a lifeguard is teaching swimming lessons. This could be a real pain in the ass sometimes, but other times it was the most enjoyable part of the job. The majority of the participants in lessons were clean and cute. They'd show up everyday in their cute little two piece bathing suits or itty bitty trunks with their chubby bellies hanging out. They"d always be ready and eager to hop into the water and start their lesson. This is party because their parents were hovering over the fence next to the pool with a video camera documenting their every stroke; so there was no way they could misbehave, it was all on film. Clean and cute swimmers always have clean and cute parents, which is why they are the way they are. It wasn't very often that a clean and cute swimmer would show up at the pool with out his or her parents following closely. From the second they walk through the entrance their radars were locked and ready on their children. It was like they were just waiting for them to mess up so they could fire. For example, one day Rachel was sitting up in her life guarding stand and a boy dove head first into the five foot pool, which isn't allowed, and before she could even open her mouth his mom was all over him like flies on shit. The command center had sent her permission to "Fire, Fire, Fire" and fire she did. The kid didn't have an ass left after that butt chewing. Needless to say, he never dove in the five foot again. Parents like those take a lot of stress off of lifeguards so that they can actually concentrate more on the bad kids instead of the good ones. Clean and cute swimmers are always a pleasure to have at the pool because they just simply make the job a hell of a lot easier.
