Underage Drinking Is There A Solution?

Today in our society this seems to be especially true; people are compromising their morals for fame, money, power, and status. They strive to attain these things without knowing the true consequences of their actions. .
Twenty-one is the magic age, with it comes a new-found freedom, the ability to legally purchae and consume alcohol. HOwever, if on their 21st birthday you were to ask several people if they had ever drank before you would see that the age limit is not taken in a high regard. To a teenager a party is not a "party" unless alcohol is present; they believe it's "cool" to be drunk and thik that they can't have a good time without it. This is a common problem seen in today's society. How ironic is it that the United States is the one country that has the worst problem with alcohol, but yet has the highest, strictest drinking age. Is there a solution to this widespread societal problem? I believe if the drinking age was lowered the desire for teens to drink would also lower dramatically. If this proved to be a helpful solution maybe we could then strive to abolish the drinking age altogether to a new generation where alcohol wasn't viewed so highly. If we could take the unattainable and make it attainable then perhaps a widespread societal problem could be solved. .
