The rebirth of europe

In Elizabeth Pond's The Rebirth of Europe, she explains in detail the post World War Two reconstruction process Europe has been going through for more than half a century in the strive for economic and political stability. Europe's past wars and instability is finally coming to an end. Through the cooperation of fellow European nations, they have formed a strong alliance through organizations and a centralized banking system. Pond argues that Europe, mainly Western, has formed a system that will provide themselves with the necessary means and funds to sustain Europe and possibly as a superpower. With the fall of the Soviet Union and the abomination of French and German hostilities, Europe finally got her break into to modern superpower aspirations. Despite the United States" scrutiny of European politics, Europe is flourishing with economic growth and political stability.
European Union members have built a bond of trust never seen before and despite the differences in political policies, nations such as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom work together in organizations such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the European Union, of course, to bring peace and prosperity to their countries. European Union countries have been setting the example for the rest of Europe by unity through military power and economic prosperity. Other nations such as Poland and Switzerland, who show its willingness to sacrifice by participating such NATO plans as the Partnership for Peace exercises and others, have been hoping to join the European Union and be part of this strong and growing superpower. NATO has been Europe's military alliance to maintain military stability against other nations such as Russia and threatening neighboring Balkan nations. Another organization, the European Monetary Union, devised a single monetary unit for all nations in the European Union which is known as the Euro.
