.
An unjust law is a law that tries to degrade the human personality. For example, an "A" paper is suppose to consist of the qualities of having a "well-written, insightful answer to the assigned question. The essay will integrate ideas from the text, class discussion, and your own critical reflections. The essay will rely primarily on the author's own words and voice, and direct quotations & endash; when used & endash; will be appropriately cited." If you follow this plan, you are suppose to have an A for that paper, but what if you do your very best to answer the essay question the best you can and feel as if you have done a great job and the teacher gives you and f? You ask the teacher why and she says that you didn't answer the question the best that you possibly could. How would this teacher know that? It is unfair for that student to receive such a horriffic grade for such a valiant effort. .
Also, participating points are only given if you give an increddible question to the class, or discussion of that topic that happenned that day. The result would be that you receive a "C", even if the student talks, but if you ask an unbelieveable question the student would receive an receive that "A". How does the student know what an unbelieveable question is? Therefore the student questions their own questions and are doubtful to put the question out in t he open because they don't not know if there question is good enough. Every student wants that "A" for the day, but if they don't know if there questions and comments are good enough for that "A" is absolutely unjust. The result of this leaves the student in a environment where they feel embarassed to ask and do not receive anything for that day but a "C".
So how is one to challenge the unjust laws? King ask this in his letter and answered it. He decided to take direct action to the problem. He would march to protest the irregularities that the city of Birmingham in a non-violent manner.
