Insomnia

It is this type of insomnia that most frequently leads to depression and problems related to high blood pressure. Chronic insomniacs complain of many different problems which include depression, loss of concentration, problems performing mental and physical activities, irritableness, fatigue, hypertension, and disorientation. .
One of the biggest effects of severe long-term insomnia is depression. With this kind of depression there are a lot of problems associated with it including: eating problems, thoughts of hopelessness and despair, mood swings such as anger and irritability, and even sexual impairments. You reach a point where you just really don't even know what's going on half of the time. There are even some people who experience auditory, visual, and tactile illusions or hallucinations. .
Another problem often associated with insomnia is photosensitivity; so when you see that occasional person indoors wearing sunglasses, lets not automatically assume its some nut-job who thinks they"re a vampire, or the local stoner, but let's consider for a moment that perhaps its just someone who has been up for so many days that they are trying to hide the bags under their eyes and keep away any excess light from their sore, overworked, bloodshot eyes. Meanwhile the paranoia kicks in and you"re thinking, "Christ, I look strung out as hell;" "Is that guy staring at me? Probably so, as red as my eyes must be.".
Depression itself may cause eating problems, thoughts of despair, thoughts of hopelessness, sexual impairments, and anger and irritability. Mental depression is characterized by altered moods. There is a loss of interest in all usually pleasurable outlets such as food, sex, work, friends, hobbies, or entertainment. Depression can be especially cruel in that it does not only affect the depressed person, but it also affects everyone around him or her, too. A depressed individual can be very difficult to deal with.
