RULES OF VOLLEY BALL

Volleyball is a game that consists of matches, where the one who wins is the team that wins the best of three. Each team has six players on the court. There are usually two blockers, two left-side hitters, and two right-side hitters. At least one of the right-side hitters is a setter when they are in the front row. The position of the Left-Side Hitters, are set up opposite of each other. That means that if one is in front left, the other one is in back right. The left-side hitter is left-handed, or has well cross-court hitting skills. The middle hitter is generally the taller people on the team. The right-side hitter is not always the setter, but the setter is always a right-side hitter. If there are two setters, there is a primary setter and a back up. .
When the ball is served, it is generally received by the back row. One of the people in the back row bumps it to the setter, who by that time should be in the front right-hand corner. The setter then sets other hitters in the front row. They then spike the ball. Immediately after the ball goes over the net, the team goes into defense mode. The players in the back row get ready to receive the ball, and the players in the front row get closer to the net, ready to block.
You can only score if your team has served the ball. A point is made only when the receiving team has not returned the ball within three hits, gets a penalty, or the ball lands in their part of the court. The score goes up to 15 with at least a 2 point lead.
Volleyball is a quick-paced game that requires some skill, but is a lot of fun!.
