With no way out

This elevator would lead up to a mansion, and there I could find the exit. Once I reached this elevator, I noticed that off to the left and right were huge hall ways, with the outline of people down at the end. The seemed to be lifeless, and just standing there. I was sure they were these zombies, and as I would soon find out, they were. As I pushed the up button, they still just stood there. Then when the elevator got to my level, it made a dinging noise. Suddenly they all looked and saw me, and knowing I was their dinner, they all made a dash for me. It was one of those, "Oh crap!" kind of moments. I rushed into the elevator and immediately pushed the close door button, and thank God the door shut, because immediately after it shut I could hear the scratching of their fingers on the door. The elevator just starting going up to the surface, and my freedom, and I just waited.
The door opened and ahead of me lay an open hall. I stepped out and was in the same situation I was earlier, zombies to the left, and zombies to the right. Like any other person would, I went strait ahead. A few lunged out of the doors to the side, and I shot them and they fell to the floor. I made my was to a large door strait ahead, but then all hope was lost. Hundreds of them came around the corner. I shot a few, then realized it was hopeless, and just ran in the nearest door. I then moved a book shelf in front of the door and sat down at a desk.
I looked around and saw nothing. No other doors, no windows, no escape. With only two shots left, there was no way of getting past them. I put the gun to my head, but then saw a piece of paper and a pen. So I began to write. On second glance of the room I see two large swords behind a shield on the wall. Maybe I do have some chance at this. It's my only chance to get out of here, and I must take it. I'm simply sitting in a room, in the middle of a mansion. One door, no windows, no closets.
