Sleep

I find myself sitting in Senior English 4 class with this grade because I did"nt turn in this narrative. As I wake up every week day I find it so hard to get out of bed as I think to my self I would give anything just to sleep in a little longer. I know for a fact that I am not the only teenager that feels this way. The majority of teenagers need 9 to 10 hours of sleep a day. If you"re a student in high schoolthen you need to go to bed at 9:00p.m. and wake up at 7:00a.m. to get a good ten hours of sleep every day. Now how many people do you know that go to bed at 9:00 every day? Even if they go to bed at 9:00, they are not likely to fall asleep till after 11:00 so that leaves them with even less sleep. But most teenagers are talking on the telephone, watching TV, they have a big test tomorrow, have too much homework or are involved in sports. As a teenager I find it hard to go to bed at a decent time for whatever reason and it's even harder for me to wake up in time for school in the morning. When I get to school usually I have to get a late slip and if I get a late slip I get a 20 minutes of detention which takes away from my lunch, so I'm getting punished for needing more sleep than an adult. When I go to school in the morning, I won't remember what I study, or stair out into space as if I were sleeping with me eyes open. As a result I feel that it's clear that student lack of sleep is a problem in this country. In my opinion school should start at 9:00a.m. at least. Students shouldn't have to work around the school, the schools should work around the students when it comes to thing as important as sleep.
