Why are other organisms similar to that of humans? Many people think they were created that why so that humans can study them to better themselves. We say those scientists are the ones that can throw a life preserver to us; we just have to choose whether or not to grab a hold of the life preserver (US New and World Report 129:25). For example, the zebra fish genetic blueprint is remarkably similar to the human blueprint. How did scientist start studying zebra fish? God is the underlining force. Knowledge comes from our minds in which God created. I personally do not see a problem with this as long as we in turn better the organism, as well as humans. .
There are points in the articles that talk about ideas against Gods views. Like an article on cancer, where Fred Appelbaum says, " This is the first fruit, (this cancer drug) the clearest example of what many people involved in cancer research have hoped to see." (US News and World Report 130:20). This is not true because God created the first fruit, the apple. There was another article that changed the meaning of a word from God's definition. The article talks about gene research and how James Watson co-discovery of the structure of DNA was the Holy Grail. This is not what the Bible taught us it meant. The Bible says that the Holy Grail was the cup that Jesus drank from at the last supper. .
Sociologist, Barbara Katz Rothman says, "You have cancer because of who you are. Cancer becomes an expression of our essential nature." (Newsweek 132:26) I believe that God didn't cause people to have cancer or to have disabilities. Instead he made two perfect people, one male, Adam and one female, Eve. From the time they both eat the apple and that time forth, human beings started changing themselves. They didn't see themselves as being perfect in their eyes after eating the apple but in fact they were perfect in God's eyes. I believe that cancer was brought about by humans and not by God himself.
