Social Phobia and the affects it has on life

Social Phobia and the affects it has on life.
To fear matters of life is to lose the precious gifts that life can bring. Things like a simple hello, a friendly conversation, or even a handshake should be cherished to the utmost ability. Well, imagine being afraid or uncomfortable with doing this, 1 out of every 10 Americans suffer from a phobia known as Social Phobia (SP) (Rodriguez, 13). Social Phobia is a form of anxiety in social situations. SP is often mistaken for shyness; there is a slight difference between the two. People with SP cannot participate in job interviews, public speaking, and intimate relationships. This is very detrimental living in Corporate America. On the contrary it is okay considering the divorce rate in America as of now. For the most part this phobia can be a burden on life's many rewards. Beautiful and amazing creatures such as human beings deserve to enjoy these many essential events in life. .
In order to get a job for $72,000 annually, starting pay, you must attend the required interview. For a person with SP that seems nearly impossible. It is like asking a person with dyslexia to read a novel. This is a very difficult task to perform. In knowing that within this interview questions will be asked and based on the response the job will be given. If given a job, a person with SP would not interact with coworkers, which .
would lead to an unhealthy work environment. Due to these circumstances such people are unemployed, and this is unhealthy in order to live a successful life. A person with SP could not have conversation with some one, never the less an educated conversation at a business meeting. When people of high authority come around people with SP, intense sweating, uncontrollable trembling and an increase heart rate may occur. So, when a supervisor comes around just to say hi to the workers a socially phobic person will either avoid the supervisor or nearly have a heart attack.
