Safety with Dress Codes

Parents send their children to school every morning hoping they have a safe bus ride and a fun day at school. Schools aren't safe in America. Since 1997 shootings have occurred killing three in West Paducah, Kentucky; five in Jonesboro, Arkansas; fifteen in Littleton, Colorado and many others across the country. It has been proven that a strict dress code will improve grades and lower school violence.
The dress code can be placed in schools, which restricts just the length of skirts or emplace school uniforms. I believe it is crucial for a school dress code to be in every school. This should include restrictions on the amount of skin showing, legs, chest, and stomach. Out of respect no hats should be worn. A simple dress code, as explained, should be the minimum utilized. The best solution, however, is to set forth school uniforms.
Dress codes help students learning ability. There is less of a distraction when students dress appropriately. By having dress code rules students become more disciplined and learn to behave. With uniforms a big distraction is removed from the classroom. Also, students can get more sleep because they don't have to decide what to wear in the morning.
Violence is removed, as well. Students no longer would be tortured because their family is poor and he/she can't afford new trends. Money will be saved because it is cheaper to buy a week worth of uniforms than a few weeks of outfits. The shooting at Columbine and the numerous other schools since 1997 were committed by "losers" that were teased and tortured by their peers because they were different. School uniforms set everyone off on the same foot no matter what their home life is like.
Violence in schools needs to stop now and a school dress code can make a difference. Fewer fights would occur because someone's shoes aren't the right brand and no shoes would be stolen if they were. Everyone would start the same. Along with lowering violence a strict dress code improves the grades in a school because discipline is taught and distractions are lessened.
