Reflection on Rugby Training

Probably my most enjoyable CAS activity was Rugby Training. Over the course of the duration of CAS, rugby has become an important aspect of my life. Despite having been sportingly active all my life, an opportunity to play rugby had never before previously surfaced. While it was a game, which interested me, I never saw myself playing it. However once I was given a chance to play I grabbed onto it and never looked back. Now rugby is a game I thoroughly enjoy. .
The activity demanded off me to go to rugby training most Tuesday and Saturday, and train for an approximately 2 hours. During each session we would practice skills such as, ball handling, and passing. This would be followed by a game of touch rugby, or semi-contract rugby. The sessions were unusually exhausting, but very enjoyable. .
I feel that from my experience of playing rugby, it was improved me as a human being. It has helped me interacting and talking with other people. Rugby has also increased my fitness level a significant proportion. Before playing rugby I was on the fringes of first team football, at school. After my involvement with the rugby I have now become a first team player, and team captain. I feel I own a great deal of this success to my involvement with rugby.
Probably the best and most significant aspect to come out of my involvement in rugby has been the friendships that I have made. Going to training and playing games, is only one aspect of being on a rugby team. As a member of the team, it demands of you to become activity involved in the community and advertise our team. The team organizes many dinners and functions and it's vital that you show up to them. In showing up my social skills have increased dramatically. I have made many good friends, and learned a lot from my experience of playing rugby, it is something that I will continue long into the future. .
