Observations

I know that pink is in fashion for men, but a whole outfit in pink, I found to be quite strange. He seemed to be a very popular man. From the moment he stepped out of his car, to the moment he re-entered it, people were surrounding him. I was amazed to see so many different types of people on one block and was excited to turn the corner to see what else was here. .
On every corner almost, there was either a bar or a dance club. Outside of the buildings there were lines of people waiting to get inside. I had to stop for a second to ask myself if it was morning or night. There were not any natural lights in the city, but seeing so many people made me feel that it was still afternoon. As I walked along the street, I heard people talking about their workday and how tired they were. This was humorous to me because these were the same people who were going into bars and staying for hours. I felt like I was watching a movie or that I was an audience member at a show and the people inside the bars and dance clubs were the actors. They were only paying attention to their own lives and did not seem to notice what was happening around them. When I looked in the bars, everyone that I could see was smoking a cigarette, cigar or whatever else they could find. I found it strange, not the fact that people were smoking, but the fact that smoking was obviously a conversation starter. One bar in particular, that was painted an olive-green color with dark brown trim and had tables and chairs to match, I noticed one dark- skinned woman smoking in a corner by herself. She was sipping a drink from a fancy- shaped glass, as she was staring out the window. She seemed to be a professional type woman. She was wearing a blue, pin-stripped suit and a white blouse. A few seconds after she lit her cigarette, a middle-aged man, who was classy in his own way, came over to her and lit his cigarette. The woman noticed he was smoking, and from the look in her eyes, it seemed as though she felt a connection to him simply because he was smoking.
