Would Having less restriction on our desires benefit society

Man seeks pleasure, and sexual love provides more pleasure than anything else in life. Therefore, the pursuit of sexual love is a key part of living life and being happy, which is what all men and women want. In our society today, we have many restrictions on our sexual desires, we cannot approach an individual and force him/her to have sex with us, that is called "rape" and is against the law. Similarly, we cannot speak to others using sexual slurs, that is called "sexual harassment" and is also against the law. But even with these types of restrictions, society is still manifested with sex. Everywhere one looks, magazines, billboards, TV, etc. there is some form of sexual innuendo and thus difficult for one not to be tempted by his/her sexual desires. I believe that by having fewer restrictions on our sexual desires, society would be more manifested with sex and it would be unsafe and force society to take a step backward instead of forward. It will affect society's technological, cultural and artistic advances in a negative way. In a society like ours, despite the many restrictions, our technology is still suffering. When one mentions the word "internet" one of the first things that come to mind is "pornography" because of its easy access, with a click of a button you have access to any sexual desire you can possibly think of, what is worse is that even children have access to this kind of stuff. It is unfortunate because the Internet has been a huge leap for mankind in regards to technology, it is a resource that everyone can and should benefit from, having fewer restrictions would further limit the goodness that can come out of using the .

Having fewer restrictions on our sexual desires would also limit our cultural and artistic ways because no one would care anymore about anything other than themselves and getting someone in bed with them. However, in a society like ours where we have more restrictions, it forces us to focus on other things other than sex such as creating cultures and being artistic and advancing technology.
