Another major strength of DigiTech is their ability to adapt to other areas of business. Because they already have the existing monitoring infrastructure in place, they are able to diversify into related fields of business and fulfill unusual requests from consumers such as monitoring water temperatures of fish hatcheries.

A main weakness of DigiTech Industries is the quality of employees due to lack of training and consistency. Sales representatives and installers work with little or no supervision when selling the product to the customer to the installation. Because of this sales representatives are able to quote low prices (through lower installation hours required) and therefore increase the likelihood of a sale and increase their commission and installers can bill out more time then is actually required due to the jobs taking longer then is actually required. The skill of the installers must be addressed since they may be taking longer to work on jobs then is actually required. Employees within DigiTech have different levels of knowledge and experience; training must be done in order to insure that their performance is acceptable.
Sales representatives also do not have a clear formula or procedure to base cost quotations on for customers, as such quotes are too low and the company is losing money. There has to be some knowledge gained and recorded regarding the amount of labor time that it should be to install a basic system, and extra time needed to install additional monitors, sensors, keypads etc.
